Bolivia was the world’s top producer of silver in the 17th and 18th centuries, and it currently stands as the 6th largest producer of silver. Yet, Bolivia’s mineral richness has remained largely unexplored.

It Is Time
To Change That.

Background & Mining Sector Trends

MTT Resources’ shareholders have identified Bolivia as the next mining giant that will attract large corporates, investors, and institutional funds if the political and macroeconomic stability persists as has been the case in the last decade, which has witnessed sustained economic growth, low inflation, currency exchange stability, fiscal discipline (surplus) for eight consecutive years and a new legal framework for the mining sector.

Bolivia sits on top of large reserves of several minerals, and also, it has had little or no significant exploration in the last fifty years, much different than the successful neighboring cases of (northern) Chile and (southern) Peru, with whom Eastern Bolivia shares similar geology and mineralization.

Bolivia was the world’s top producer of tin in the first half of the 20th century and now sits in 4th place. Furthermore, Bolivia has been a formidable producer of antimony in the last 20 years, with minimal exploration.

Bolivia’s lack of exploration has been evident not only in the sector comprised of small scale miners or cooperatives (approx. 300 thousand workers) but also in the sector of large corporates, among which only a few of the large miners and large juniors are present in Bolivia, such as Sumitomo (San Cristóbal), Coeur Mining (San Bartolomé), Pan American Silver (San Vicente), Glencore (Bolívar, Caballo Blanco, San Lorenzo, Colquechaquita, Reserva, Tres Amigos), Orvana Minerals (Don Mario).

MTT understands that much of Bolivia’s mineral wealth lies in new sites unexplored or undeveloped, but also a vast untapped wealth is easily accessible by engaging the cooperatives who have had little technological sophistication and, hence, have been producing silver, tin, and lead concentrates while incredibly leaving behind high-grade tailings which would be unthinkable in any other mining country.

MTT's shareholders  have amassed a significant body of knowledge of Bolivian mining sites and concessions rich in a wide array of minerals – a database that is not available to any other entity.
